Flea and Tick Control
Unfortunately, ticks are a fact of life here in New England. Ticks are the second highest carrier of diseases (mosquitoes are the first) and nearly 90% of all Lyme disease cases are in New England. If you have a child, pet or simply like to spend time outdoors you have most likely had encounters with these disease-carrying arachnids. Ticks can generally be found in taller grass, shrubbery, and brushy areas. Protect your children and pets from Lyme disease carrying ticks with SeaScape's Tick Control Program. Fleas live in your grass and dirt and thrive during hot humid weather. Their bites can cause skin irritations to your family and pets, and can also transfer the tapeworm parasite. Applications will be made starting in May and continuing through September, when exposure to ticks is highest. Treatment area includes entire lawn, mulch beds and 2-3' along bordering woods/fields.
Mosquito Control
Mosquitoes can turn a lovely summer's evening into a miserable event. Mosquitoes are also carriers of diseases such as West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis. SeaScape's program of fogging your property with backpack sprayers can safely control this nuisance pest. We spray the perimeter of the property and cool shady areas including plants around the house. Once a month treatments from May through September help reduce mosquito populations. For those special occasions like dinner parties or weddings, we have a one-time treatment option done before each event.
Perimeter Pest Control
Do rodents, ants and other insects entering your house from the outside bother you? This service is designed to provide preventative control of household pests by applying control measures around the exterior foundation, sills, jams, garage doors, and vents. This treatment will minimize the entry of pests such as ants, roaches, crickets, pantry pests, millipedes, and silverfish. This program consists of 5 monthly applications from April through September. This program can also include exterior rodent control. Four secure bait boxes are placed strategically around the perimeter of the house. These are checked once a month throughout the year and when necessary new bait is added.
Preexisting populations of wood-boring insects such as termites and carpenter ants, along with flying insects will not be controlled, as we cannot perform applications indoors. If you have a problem with these pests, now or in the future, you will need to call an interior exterminating company.
Deer Repellent
Many homeowners are experiencing significant damage to their expensive ornamental trees and shrubs from deer feeding. SeaScape offers a deer repellent program designed to help protect your valuable plantings from being damaged by the expanding number of deer in our area. This university-tested program combines the use of liquid and granular scent and taste aversions on a regular monthly schedule to discourage deer from damaging your plant material. These products are used to modify deer feeding, and help reduce the activity of deer carrying ticks bearing Lyme disease on your property.
